P Family Session
One of my favorite parts of a family session is photographing moments where no one is looking at the photographer. It can be a lot to ask of children to make eye contact, let alone eye contact and smile at a stranger – when you let everyone relax and get comfortable from the very start of the shoot, it goes a long way! Genuine and natural connections happen between family when people are free to be themselves and you can see it in these images. There’s love, tenderness and playful curiosity.
After a few shots around the homestead we moved down to Mount Doug park. It was gorgeous! We had a great overcast sky, the tide was out (which made for excellent exploring) and the forest was filled with perfect spots for a quick game of hide and seek. At the end of our session, this handsome little boy thanked me for taking his family pictures and that he loved me! I’ll take that review any day!
